Calling all Expats for a world blog surf day!
Hello fellow Expats, World Nomads, Global Nomads, World Pats, Foreigners, Guests Of Other Countries, Citizens Of The World, World Patriots, World Citizens, World Connoisseurs, Global Connoisseurs and Global Expats.
The recent exchange with Sher regarding the word “expat” and my own musings about “how to describe/ label yourself if you are living in another then your birth country ” and all your comments on both blogs gave me an idea. I would like to invite all of you to join me in an “around the world blogging day”! If there are enough takers this would work like this: Each one of us publishes a blog post on the same day with the title “Living as a (insert nationality) in (insert country of residence)” ending your post with a link to the next blogger that is originally from your country of residence but lives abroad now. And this blogger writes then about his/ her experience in the new country linking at the end to a blogger that is… I guess you get the idea 
If you like it, we could create a series of blog posts that go around and around the globe, showing off the international world of blogging. If you want to participate, please leave a comment with the name of your site, your country of origin and your current country of residence. I will then compile a list so that everybody on the big day knows whom to link to next. To make this work, please spread the word, so that we get as many participants as possible by referring to this post.
Dead line to sign up: 21st March.
Day your post has to appear: 28th March.

Im going to stuff this up but I live in Australia but I am originally from New Zealand -there aren’t too many Kiwi’s around the blogosphere!
That sounds like a great idea–would I be eligible? I’m not really an expat, especially now that I’m back home in Alaska, but I spent the fall 08 semester living in England, and I mostly talk about that on my blog. Living in another country, even for a short time, really was a completely different experience from just visiting…as I’m sure you know.
